Australia’s Master’s Degrees are modelled on the British degree system, and are internationally recognised and respected across the globe. They also offer unparalleled opportunities and potential for research.

Master Degrees provide a high-order overview and specialisation in a particular field of study or area of professional practice. This usually involves one to two years of full-time study. Master’s degree is offered in three platforms:

  • Master’s degree (coursework): These consist of coursework studies.
  • Master’s degree (research): Requires a final thesis that consists of at least two-thirds research component.
  • Master’s degree (extended): These may consist of a work-based project.

Entry requirements

In addition to the academic requirements specified, applicants must also meet higher-level English language proficiency. Some other courses may require a student to provide additional entry requirements such as prior knowledge in certain subjects, work experience, or the successful completion of an audition, portfolio, test, or interview.

Average tuition costs in Australia for a Master’s degree is AUD 18,000 to AUD 45,000 per year

Start Date

Starting dates are generally in February and July, and some also have a trimester intake in October.
